Mexico Beach is quiet Gulf, a smaller town, and a different weekend than Port St. Joe. It can be the right ceremony stretch. It is often the wrong place to park every guest for three days — grocery, restaurants, and services are still thinner while the town rebuilds.
Forgotten Coast Wedding Company plans Mexico Beach weddings as part of a Forgotten Coast weekend. We coordinate vendors, timing, and guest flow. We are a planner, not a DJ or officiant.
When Mexico Beach fits
Choose it when you want a calmer beach, a smaller footprint, and you are willing to house people in Port St. Joe or mix lodging. Do not choose it because a listing photo looked empty. Empty in July heat with nowhere to eat is not the same as peaceful.
What we plan for
- Where the ceremony actually stands (wind, tide, public access)
- Whether guests sleep in Mexico Beach or commute from Port St. Joe
- Backup space if the Gulf is unkind
- Vendors who will drive here and still be on time
Most destination couples still base in Port St. Joe and come here for the “I do.” We will tell you honestly which version matches your guest list.
