Forgotten Coast Wedding Company plans St. George Island weddings. We coordinate vendors who will cross the bridge on time, a weather backup, and a guest map that does not strand Aunt Linda at the wrong house. We are not the officiant and not the DJ.

St. George Island runs on bridge time
This is a true island weekend: one causeway, beach houses, and a different clock than Port St. Joe. It can be the whole destination. It can also be the ceremony shore while dinner lives in Apalachicola. Either way, lodging and timing come before the floral palette.
Public beach vs house vs park
Gulf public access, a house lawn, and a park stretch each have different setup, alcohol, and vehicle rules. A house that “sleeps 18” is not a venue for 80. We confirm which parcel you control and what the county or park will allow before chairs go in the sand.
Wind, tide, rain
Open Gulf wind applies. Tide still moves the setup line. Rain backup is often a house downstairs or a restaurant in Apalachicola — which means the backup includes the bridge. Write both addresses. Tell every vendor which one wins.
Lodging and guest transport
Island houses, Eastpoint, or Apalachicola are three different clocks. Overflow does not “find something” on Friday. Split lodging is fine if the shuttle and the welcome-party address are on the timeline. Ride-share across the bridge is not a plan. Grocery runs belong in the weekend map; the island closes up earlier than guests from Atlanta expect.
Vendor travel
Trucks share the causeway with guest cars. A 4 p.m. florist arrival that does not include bridge buffer is how the arch is late. Wedding coordination starts 6–8 weeks out so those windows are confirmed in writing.

Questions for this town
Does the bridge change the timeline?
Yes. Vendor trucks, guest cars, and late grocery runs all share one causeway. A city template with “beach” swapped in will miss that. We put bridge buffer on the minute-by-minute the same way we put the processional.
Should everyone sleep on the island?
Only if the houses actually sleep them. Overflow often lands in Eastpoint or Apalachicola. Split lodging is fine if the shuttle and the welcome-party address are written down. It is not fine as a surprise on Friday.
Public beach vs house vs park — why does it matter?
Each has different permit, setup, and alcohol rules. A Gulf ceremony on public sand is not the same as a house lawn or a park stretch. We confirm which one you have before chairs go in the sand.
