Why WindMark works
Guests can stay in Port St. Joe. You are not hauling everyone to the end of the Cape. Bay light is different from Gulf light. The tradeoff is you are in a lived-in community, so setup, parking, and noise have to be planned like neighbors exist — because they do.
Compare it with Cape San Blas if you want more open Gulf, or Port St. Joe if the ceremony itself might stay in town.

Venue vs public beach
A bayfront venue, a private lawn, or The View at St. Joe Bay is not public Gulf access. HOA and venue rules cover hours, noise, tents, and guest count. A “we will just use the beach in front of the house” plan can violate both the community and the city. We confirm the parcel you actually control.
Wind, rain, parking
Bay wind is kinder to florals and sound than the Cape, which is why couples choose it when the Gulf is a gamble. Rain still needs an indoor or covered room on the property — not a hope. Street parking in a residential neighborhood will not swallow 80 cars. Plan a lot, a shuttle from downtown, or a guest-count that matches the street.
Lodging and vendor travel
This is the rare Forgotten Coast ceremony where guests can sleep in Port St. Joe and still make a 5 p.m. start without a peninsula drive. Vendors already in town have a short hop. That is the point of WindMark. Coordination still starts 6–8 weeks out so the venue’s load-in and the neighbor rules are on the same sheet as the processional.

Some can, depending on where they sleep. Most still need a parking plan or a short shuttle. Do not assume a residential street can hold 80 cars the way a hotel lot can.
Is The View or a house lawn a public beach?
No. A bayfront venue or a private lawn is not the same as public Gulf access. Each has its own load-in, rain room, and guest-count ceiling. We plan the one you actually booked.
