Plan the weekend, not just the beach
Guests usually sleep in Port St. Joe or toward Apalachicola. Drive times matter more than they look on a map. If someone needs ice, a pharmacy, or a second dinner option, you do not want that to be a surprise on Friday night.
Look at Cape San Blas if you want more open Gulf, or Apalachicola if downtown is the other half of your weekend.

Indian Pass is remote on purpose — plan it that way

House weekend vs public shore
Most celebrations here are rental-house weekends. The house rules (guest cap, quiet hours, whether a tent is allowed) are the venue contract. A public access point, if you use one, is a separate permit. We will not blur those two into “the beach.”
Rain, wind, tide
You are still on the Gulf side of the peninsula. Wind and squalls apply. The nearest indoor room you do not own may be a long drive. Book the house’s downstairs or a backup in Port St. Joe / Apalachicola as a real plan, and tell vendors which address wins if the sky opens.
Lodging, parking, transport
Guests sleep in Port St. Joe or toward Apalachicola unless the house actually sleeps them. Drive times look short on a map and feel longer after dark on two-lane roads. Parking is the driveway and the shoulder. Someone has to own ice, a pharmacy run, and the people who will drink. Ride-share is not coming.
Vendor travel
Catering and florals are traveling from town. Confirm turnaround space for a box truck and a generator if the house cannot feed a kitchen. Wedding coordination starts 6–8 weeks out because isolation makes first-time vendor visits on Saturday morning a bad idea.

How early should coordination start out here?
6–8 weeks out, same as the rest of this coast. Isolation makes vendor confirmation and a lodging map more important, not less. Showing up the morning of is how someone discovers the ice machine is 25 minutes away.
